Halle Berry Rejoins 'New Year's Eve', Alice Eve Cast in 'Men in Black 3'

Halle Berry is heading back to "New Year's Eve". After pulling herself from the project earlier this year, the Oscar winner has decided to rejoin the star-studded movie which recently adds Carla Gugino to the line-up. A rep for New Line Cinema as well as a rep for the actress have confirmed that she will get a role different than her original part.

Berry was initially set to star opposite Jon Bon Jovi in the romantic comedy, playing a caterer who once was dumped by the rock star. As she gave up the role reportedly to focus on a child custody battle with her ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry,
Katherine Heigl has been tapped to replace her.

Another Hollywood beauty, Alice Eve, also scores a new job; she has been cast in "Men in Black 3". According to Deadline Hollywood, the "Sex and the City 2" star will play the younger version of Emma Thompson's character, Oh, who is the head of Men in Black agency.

"New Year's Eve" has kicked off production in early this month with Garry Marshall tackling the helming duty. Featuring Robert De Niro, Ashton Kutcher, Lea Michele, Jessica Biel and Zac Efron among others, the movie is slated to arrive in the U.S. on December 9.

"Men in Black 3" has also begun filming in late 2010 but is currently in an extended holiday hiatus. Director of previous "Men in Black" films, Barry Sonnenfeld, is still serving behind the lens for the third movie, which is due May 25, 2012 Stateside. Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones will reprise their roles as Agent Jay and Agent Kay respectively.
