Vanessa Hudgens Calls Nude Photo Leakers 'Selfish'

Vanessa Hudgens would like people to stop living in the past. Namely, she'd like everyone to stop remembering her as that Disney starlet whose misuse of a cell phone camera caused some major embarrassment...over and over again.

In an interview with the LA Times, Hudgens explained that the most frustrating thing about her nude photo scandal is that it distracts from who she is now. The photos, taken several years ago, have been slowly released in batches since 2007.

"It's just silly because I'm a very present person, and that's the thing that has been so in the past," Vanessa said. "The fact that somebody keeps bringing up the past is just selfish. I mean, it sucks. I already released a statement the first time it happened. It's just unfortunate that it keeps reminding people about the past and not the present."

Hudgens has a lot to celebrate in the present, including her journey of self-discovery. "A lot of women get walked all over on by not standing up for themselves, and that's just not what I'm about. I'm figuring myself out now as a young adult more than I ever have. It's like my eyes are opening and I'm awakening to controlling my future."

Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron Have a Friendly Reunion

No one ever said puppy love had to end dramatically. Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron, who ended their five year romance in December, were fine and chummy together at a West Hollywood party on Wednesday. 

The former lovers, who celebrated the release of mutual HSMco-star Ashley Tisdale's Sharpay's Fabulous Adventures DVD, were ultra comfortable with each other. 

"Zac and Vanessa definitely seemed comfortable around each other," an observer told Us. "They didn't seem affectionate or romantic at all, but they were totally relaxed and friendly."



Another source added: "They both came out to support Ashley. They knew they would both be there and were fine with it. They really are still friends."

Apparently, it was one big High School Musical cheerful get together with lots of the hit show's stars -- and likely lots of excited shrieking and hugs. 

"It was like a High School Musical reunion!" says the first observer.

Oh, geez. At least Vanessa and Zac are acting more mature than their cross-eyed lovers fromHSM presumably would have.

"When you are dancing a lot every day you become very muscular and I did not appreciate that at the time, but now I’ve learned to love them."

'Long-Distance Relationship' Triggers Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron's Split

Vanessa Hudgens has blamed her busy schedule for her split from longtime boyfriend Zac Efron, revealing the couple struggled to maintain a "long-distance relationship". The "High School Musical 3: Senior Year" co-stars' three-year romance came to an end in December 2010, but rumors of a reunion surfaced just weeks later when they were spotted together in a nightclub, and Hudgens also admitted they were "figuring things out".

Hudgens has now confirmed they are definitely not back together and explained the reasons for the break-up, insisting their acting roles kept them apart. She tells Shape magazine, "Long-distance relationships are hard no matter what. When you don't have face-to-face time, it's just different. Having an iPhone helped, but it wasn't the same."

But the singer-actress is adamant she will always have fond memories of her relationship with Efron, adding, "We grew up together. It was nice to have someone to share all of those experiences with. It was a good thing. The relationship kept me grounded, and because I was with someone who knew me so well, I didn't need to try to be someone I'm not."

Vanessa Hudgens Works With Cops After More Nude Photos Leaked

Vanessa Hudgens is bringing law enforcement to deal with her latest nude photo scandal. The "Sucker Punch" actress has her attorney Christopher Wong explaining how they are dealing with the problem soon after a number of her explicit photographs that include some images of her swapping spits with another woman surfaced.

"We are actively working with law enforcement to determine who is responsible and hold them accountable for their actions," Christopher told TMZ. On his client's reaction, the lawyer said, "Vanessa is deeply upset and angered that these old photos, which were taken years ago, continue to resurface."

In the statement regarding the leaked pictures, Vanessa's lawyer additionally pointed out, "It is particularly disturbing that whoever got hold of these private photos seems to be intent on illegally leaking them out over a long period of time."

Just recently, a number of photos showing off Vanessa locking lips with "Zoey 101" actress Alexa Nikolas have hit the web via Drunken Stepfather. Along with the racy images, a series of other revealing images of the former "High School Musical" beauty were also shared. Three of which feature her appearing topless.

The former girlfriend of Zac Efron has been hit with similar scandal in 2007 and 2009. Speaking of the nude photos in 2009, she told Allure, "If anything it makes it more embarrassing, because that was a private thing. It's screwed up that someone screwed me over like that. At least some people are learning from my mistakes."

The pair were said to have been quite friendly at an afterparty following last month's premiere of Vanessa's movie "Beastly," as a People insider dished, "Their arms were wrapped around each other and they were really touchy together. They were very cute."

Proudly showing off her fit and fine figure while flashing her abs, the "Sucker Punch" starlet chatted with Shape about topics including kick-boxing, fashion aspirations and moving on from fast food.

Highlights from Miss Hudgens' interview with Shape are as follows:

On kick-boxing with her mom, Gina: “Having someone to go to classes with makes you want to do your best, not just for yourself but for the other person too. My mom and I do cardio kickboxing classes together. I love wearing my baseball hat, tilting my head down and pretending I’m taking people out. It’s very therapeutic.”


On dreaming up her own fashion line: “Right now I’m pulling pictures from the Sixties and Seventies studying women like Cher and Bianca Jagger for inspiration. My style is boho chic. I love that time period - the patterns, the prints, the people, the music, the vibe. I figure if you love something so much, you should at least give it a try. And you may end up making a living from it too!”

On her fast-food days gone by: “I was so unhealthy. I used to go to Cold Stone Creamery, get a tub of Butterfinger ice cream and eat it all before bedtime and my fingers were permanently stained orange from Cheetos.”

And now that she’s been single for a bit, Vanessa seems to be ready to begin thinking about dating again.
When asked what she looks for in a guy, Hudgens explained, “Somebody who is just true to themselves. Someone who’s loyal and honest.”

Vanessa Hudgens got a butterfly tattoo while she was in New York for Fashion Week, and she says it’s something she has always wanted to have done because of the significance of the animal to her life.

She said: “It was very last minute, but I've actually wanted it for years. A butterfly landed on my mom's stomach a week before I was born and that's how I got my name, because Vanessa means butterfly -- it's a Latin derivative.” (Don't believe her? See Wikipedia.)

While the tattoo may look very pretty, the 22-year-old actress says she feels rebellious getting it done. While speaking with David Letterman, she said: “It's my very first tattoo, and I kind of feel like a badass now!”

As well as getting a piece of body art, Vanessa is moving on from her High School Musical days and wants to be taken more seriously as an actress.

Speaking about the Disney franchise, which she starred in alongside ex-boyfriend Zac Efron, the Beastly star said: “It was so much fun. It's kind of a thing of the past now though.”

"And I feel like when that happens, a lot of girls look up to guys who embody that, who are just truly out there and, of course, my character falls for that, as a lot of other girls would.”

Vanessa has been single since her break-up from her longtime boyfriend Zac Efron last December. She was seen recently though with Josh Hutcherson at a Los Angeles party which sparked romance rmors. Vanessa and Josh are co-stars in the movie Journey 2: The Mysterious Island.
